The Report

More of the same this week with fluke, schoolie bass and porgies to report. The fluke have been in both the Shinnecock and Quogue canals as well as both the Shinnecock and Peconic bays taking squid/spearing combos or gulp. The striped bass are also in all the same places and taking rubber baits. The larger bass have been taken at night on swimming plugs. Porgies are thick in Peconic out by Jessups and taking clams on the outgoing tide. We have heard a few reports of some porgies in the Shinnecock canal as well. New to the report this week are weakfish. We have weighed in a few nice fish taken from the back bays of Shinnecock.
