

Big Bass!!
Large stripers have been moving down the ocean beaches chasing the bunker schools. Snag and drop has been the best method, but trolling Mojo rigs through the schools is working too. The Ponquogue bridge is also holding some bass. Clam bellies for chum and whole clams on the hook is the best bet here. Fluke bite in the bay has been decent. Spearing and squid or Gulp! in the usual haunts, east cut, west cut, the basket, and Rampasture. The ocean bite has been good as well, from


Summer is Here!
Summer has officially arrived; and with that the fishing is great. The striped bass bite around the Ponquogue bridge has been excellent on the outgoing tide. Anchor up with some clam chum or bellies to bring in those cows. Fluking in the bay is still good too; east and west of the bridge. Fathers Day is this Sunday and the weather forecast looks awesome. Shinnecock Bay is really lighting up. The stripers are hitting at the bridge on clams and chum and in the inlet on eels and bucktails. Outgoing tide is best; but they're hitting on the incoming as well. Fluke are in their usual haunts; East Cut, The Basket, and Rampasture Point. Just some spearing and squid on a light bucktail is best. Again outgoing tide has the better bite. Fish Everywhere
Shinnecock Bay: Fluke is best on the west side of the bridge; but the east cut and the basket area seem to be picking up. Small bucktails tipped with spearing is all you need. Stripers are being caught in and around the Ponquogue bridge; heavy clam chum with whole clams on the hook will bring in the cows. Peconic Bay: Porgies are all around Shelter island, Rodgers Rock, And Jessups Neck. Small pieces of clam or sand worms is the ticket here. The south ferry channel is holding
