Stripers on the Sand
They finally showed up on the beaches the past few days. There have been bass blitzes from Mecox to Moriches with bass and albies mixed together. All the fish seem to be in the teen size class; but there were a few reports of some 35 to 50 pounders in the mix. Most are being caught on polaris poppers white or yellow and also on white bucktails with a red trailer. Shinnecock Inlet: Albies were still around before the cold snap. Stripers are being caught at night by some boats
