Shinnecock bay/inlet/ocean The Shinnecock bay has plenty of fluke action throughout the bay but keepers are a grind to find. Just enough keepers to keep your interest. Skinny, warmer water has been best. Squid/spearing combos and gulp all working. Action HOT on Bunker Schools
Shinnecock Bay/Inlet/Ocean The most popular target this past week has been the striped bass. Huge schools of bunker are outside our inlet both east and west with big bluefish and big bass on them. You will need to work to find the right school but when you do hold on. Live lining the bunker is the best bait. Fifty pound bass have been caught and safely released. Shinnecock Bay/Inlet/Ocean The fluke bite remains to be grind in Shinnecock bay. There are keepers to be had but you need to move about the bay and use your skills to put a few in the box. The fluke have also been reported from the 90 foot area out beyond the Shinnecock reef. Squid/Spearing and gulp all working. Bluefish continue to please those who are just looking to bend a rod. Shinnecock bay/Inlet/Ocean The bluefish continue to dominate the report this week. Both the gators and the cocktails are in the inlet, around the bridge and outside the inlet too. Tins, bucktails and soft plastics are all doing the job. The fluke bite seems to be improving with the better weather and sun warming the waters. The western end of Shinnecock bay has been better but we did have some reports of fluke near the inlet. Try targeting the flats for that warmer water. Gul
