The Shinnecock canal is also holding some bass as well as a few flounder.Haven't heard of any weakfish yet; but as soon as the lilacs bloom I'm sure they'll be here. I've also got word that Smith's Point beach has some stripers to 28". The shop just got in a fresh load on Super Strike lures. Come on in and check them out.

Striped bass opens April 15th. The store is fully stocked and the reports have been coming in of schoolie fish in the Peconics and the western sound. Small poppers and 3/4 oz. bucktails are the ticket for the spring bite. Don't forget to get your gear in for repair and spooling before it gets too busy.
