Shinnecock bay/inlet/ocean The fluke bite in the area is a tough one to nail down. It is mostly a hunting process with not much a pattern to go on. The bay has been very dirty to the west and full of robins near the inlet. The flats both east and west of the bridge have seen fish as well as the flats across from the commercial docks. Out in the ocean some fluke have been taken deep and mostly to the west. The inlet has been better on the incoming tide. Good luck. Sea bass are


Happy Independence Day
The fluke bite has been spotty this past week. The east cut, west cut, the basket and Rampasture all have fish; but most are shorts. Spearing and squid is your best choice for these guys. The ocean bite has only started to pick up this week with the warm temperatures. Most fish are in 60 to 80 feet and to the east of the inlet. Striped bass up to 60 pounds are underneath the bunker schools out in the ocean anywhere from Shinnecock to Montauk Point. Find them boiling and throw
