Great Memorial Day Weekend Action!!
Shinnecock Bay/Inlet/Ocean The Shinnecock bay has had a good amount of bluefish around the inlet and Ponquogue bridge areas. Most tins and spoons are working well along with most anything you care to throw at them. Tide hasn't mattered much just right time right place. Some striped bass are around these same areas but the blues are so aggressive the bass cant get to the baits. Some fluke are around as well but not taking the baits as they should be due to the lower water temp
FISHING IS HEATING UP!
Shinnecock The bay in and around the inlet has seen bluefish, striped bass and a few fluke. For the most part the outgoing tides remain the best time due to the warmer water temperatures. Some have done well up in the Quogue canal with a few fluke and weakfish. Best baits for the fluke are squid/spearing combo or the gulp scented baits. The bluefish will take tins, soft plastics or most anything you throw at them. If you're looking to target the bass with bait clams or bunker

The striped bass are also in all the same places and taking rubber baits. The larger bass have been taken at night on swimming plugs. Porgies are thick in Peconic out by Jessups and taking clams on the outgoing tide. We have heard a few reports of some porg
