Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there, hope you enjoy your day. Shinnecock The fluke bite continues to improve in the bay both east and west of the bridge on both in and outgoing tides. The keeper to short ratio is better than in years past but you still have to work for them. Squid, Spearing and gulp all working. Haven't heard much on an ocean fluke bite yet. Shinnecock The fluke bite has improved dramatically in the last week as the water temps have risen over the 60 degree mark and held. Fluke have been caught on both incoming and outgoing tides and in both the eastern and western parts of the bay. The keeper to short ratio is better than last season for sure. The squid/spearing combo is working as is the gulp baits. The blues are still hanging tough in the inlet and taking jigs and drifted baits for striped bass. The bass bite

Shinnecock Bay/Inlet/Ocean The Shinnecock bay continues to produce bluefish throughout the bay. The blues have been taking all tins thrown at them as well as bucktails meant for bass and fluke baits. Fluke have been cooperating in the bay but mainly on the last of the incoming and all of the outgoing tides. The warmer water temp is the key to get the fluke snapping.
