Happy Fathers Day!

Fathers Day is this Sunday and the weather forecast looks awesome.

Shinnecock Bay is really lighting up. The stripers are hitting at the bridge on clams and chum and in the inlet on eels and bucktails. Outgoing tide is best; but they're hitting on the incoming as well. Fluke are in their usual haunts; East Cut, The Basket, and Rampasture Point. Just some spearing and squid on a light bucktail is best. Again outgoing tide has the better bite.

The Peconics are loaded with porgies. Rodgers rock, Robins island, and Jessups neck are hold the most concentrations, but if you find any small hump out there, they'll be on it. Weakfish are also still around. Find the drop-offs or deep holes and drop down some squid or sandworms. Striped bass have been holding in the South race and Plum gut. Troll some Mojo rigs through there for the cows.

The Shinnecock Canal is holding a nice mixed bag with fluke, bluefish, stripers, porgies, and the occasional weakfish and blowfish.
