The fluking in Shinnecock bay has improved both east and west of the Ponquogue bridge. Spearing, squid and gulp baits are all working but the live killies are doing just as well. The inlet is still holding a few bass, some fluke and bluefish. Snappers have a rived and are in most creeks, in the canal and around most docks. Out on the reef the sea bass and fluke have been cooperating. Large bucktails tipped with gulp is a good choice. The ocean beaches have produced some keeper fluke, bass and blues. The Peconics are holding the porgies and cocktail blues.
