Report 7/29/16
Shinnecock Bay has been producing a good number of keeper fluke and plenty of shorts making for some good action. The Ponquogue bridge is holding some striped bass. Most are being caught at night, but the clam chummers during the day are pulling in a few as well. Out in the ocean they are bringing in fluke and seabass from around 80 to 90 feet to the east of the inlet. There are some bluefin tuna out about 30 miles or so and some small yellows around the Coimbra. The mahi-mahi have also showed up, some have even been spotted while fluking inside of 3 miles. The Shinnecock inlet has got some trigger fish in the rocks and some bluefish running back and forth and the canal is holding porgies on the jetties to the north and some fluke at the south end by the locks.
