5/26/2016 Report
Shinnecock Bay:
The bay seems to be holding some keeper fluke in the east cut and also by Rampasture point. Squid and spearing are doing the job just fine. The bluefish have been running around the bay as well falling to tins mostly.
Ponquogue Bridge:
Striped bass are being taken on the night tides in the shadow lines. Mostly on Gulp! but they are also taking clams and bunker too.
Shinnecock Canal:
Fluke, stripers, and even some blowfish are being pulled from the bulkheads here. Again, Gulp seems to be the ticket here too.
Peconic Bay:
Porgies at Jessups Neck and some fluke at the greenlawns. No reports of porgies at Rodgers rock yet; but they should be there soon.
Ocean/ Beaches:
The sand beaches have have a few schoolie stripers and blues mixed in but nothing great to speak of and I'm sorry to report that we have heard nothing from the ocean on any fluke bite yet
Rick with a 7.5 # fluke from the East cut on Wednesday
