The Stripers are Moving In!!!

Today marks the start of fall and the fall striped bass run. The south shore beaches are starting to show signs of life with stripers, blues, and tons of bait fish mixed in. The stripers have been taking small paddle tail rubber baits in pearl or green.

The Shinnecock inlet has been having false albacore blitzes on a daily basis for 3 days now. Any type of small tin or epoxy jig is working. The smaller the better.

Peconic bay is still loaded with porgies with some blowfish and snappers mixed in as well. And the Shinnecock canal is still doing well with snappers. The fluke bite has slowed down, but their are still some keepers out there.
